Yamaha CG192C and Yamaha CG192S

Yamaha CG192 is the best solid top classical guitar model of Yamaha CG series. It is great for those who want to learn classical guitar more seriously.

Yamaha CG192C and Yamaha CG192S are the flagship models of Yamaha CG series. The last letter C stands for “Cedar” and S stands for “Spruce”. The two types of top materials give consumers more options. The top of Yamaha CG192C is made of solid cedar while the Yamaha CG192S is solid spruce. The back and side are laminated rosewood. There is a carbon piece in the mahogany neck in order to adjust the neck if necessary. Basically, they are traditional Spanish style classical guitars – the classical body shape and 52mm nut width. But Yamaha make some improvements on this model: the rosewood bridge is smaller and the bracing system is a little different from traditional classical guitar bracing pattern. Yamaha CG192C and Yamaha CG192S are lighter weighted guitars than other Yamaha guitars. The thinner top design give them the more resonant and responsive tone. All of these result improved tone quality.
